Groundie House was the home of John Sebastian Groundie, a civic leader who made a fortune brewing beer in the early 1800s. Visitors can tour the scenic brick building, viewing rooms that have been restored and stocked with their original furnshings. An adjacent welcome center offers additional information, as well books, gifts, locally handcrafted furniture, and other goodies for sale. The House lies in the heart of town, near the Moravian Restoration Area.
